JAMB ORDERS THAT 2020/2021 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE MUST START FROM SEPTEMBER 7TH

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for Nigeria have ordered that the 2020/2021 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Screening must start from September 7
JAMB Ordered that the new date set is to make sure that everybody are given to chance to register for their Post-UTME including students who registered with awaiting result.
JAMB reached the agreement on Monday after a brief meeting with Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and Provost of Tertiary Institutions.
Before, The Board issued guidelines for all Tertiary Institutions to start their admission with effect from 22nd August.
“We come out with resolution after the meeting that no Post-UTME exercise must commenced before September 7th to October 4th.

“Also for people who will be writing their Post-UTME on September 7th to October 4th, we will need to do another one in November 18thfor the sake of candidate who will be writing  NABTEB.
“The reason for this date is to make sure all results are out and everybody will have the opportunity to participate in the exercise.

  • For schools that do not carry out screening exercise, that will use only JAMB can start to make recommendations and choose their candidate but this process will not end until sometimes in November or ending of November when Government will announce the close of admission.
