Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has condemned recent chaos between the Hausa and Choba community in the State.
The youths from two communities in Lamurde Local Government Area of the state recently engaged in a conflict which lead to the destruction of properties.
Speaking on the incident, the Area Council Chairman of Lamurde, Burto Pwadyangakai William, disclosed that the incident started on Thursday, May 14 after a misunderstanding ensued between youths of the communities.
On his part, Governor Fintiri accompanied with his deputy, Chief Crowther Seth, Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bashir Ahmad, the state police commissioner and other service chiefs, expressed his dissatisfaction with the situations he met residents who were rendered homeless.
He, however, ordered that the displaced residents be provided with a temporary camp at a primary school in nearby Lafia, a town in Lamurde LGA on the Yola-Gombe Road bordering Gombe State.
Governor Fintiri assures that his administration would make available necessary assistance towards permanently resettling the displaced people.
The governor, however, noted that the reconciliation process had already commenced and security personnel have been deployed to the area to restore calmness.
As at the time of filing this report, there were no records of death from the horrible event which happened on Friday.
