COVID 19; RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR EASE OBIO/AKPOR AND PORT HARCOURT LOCKDOWN FOR 2 DAYS

The Rivers State Governor, Governor Nyesom Wike during his speech this morning has eased the total lockdown which was imposed on Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt LGA since 7th May 2020.
The governor said that the eased will take effect from Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th May 2020 while the shut down continues from Thursday 14th May, 2020.
During his statement, the governor said that churches, mosques, mails, banks, shops and  hospital allowed to open and carryout thier full activities.

While oil companies are to submit lost of names of thier staff on essential duties to the government.

During his speech he said that the closure of public markets including slaughter, hotel, bar, cinemas and restaurants continues. And social gathering like burial, weddings, party and religion party of not mkre than 50 persons.

He also ensure the put on their facemasks which is compulsory and mandatory.

The governor also asked the citizens to continue staying safe, maintaining social distance and to keep the environment Clean in order to fight the deadly pandemic (COVID 19) out of the state.
